SNUG Summer Conference & Trade Show starts in:
The Summer Conference & Trade Show allows for much greater involvement on the part of vendors. Display areas are provided and vendors are allowed to discuss and showcase their products and services. The main conference sessions are typically geared towards general discussion and question and answer sessions. In addition, presentations by both vendors and utilities on recent issues or topics provide information on the latest technological advances available or methodology that has been used successfully in the past in solving issues related to snubbers. If there is a topic that requires greater attention, a working group will generally be formed to work through the issue and may meet separately in a breakout session to provide a concentrated effort to resolve the issue.
You may reserve your guest room at the Cleveland Marriott East Hotel using the link to the right, or you may call the hotel directly.
Who Should Attend the SNUG Conference
The SNUG conference is geared to meet the needs of snubber program owners. However, implementation personnel responsible for any program aspect will benefit from the conference. Persons involved in snubber program administration, licensing, code compliance, work planning, and “hands-on” field work with snubbers should plan to attend. Anyone who works with snubbers in any capacity is welcome to attend the conference, and will benefit from the information that is readily exchanged between others in your own capacity at other plants. There is no cost for member utility representatives to attend the conference. Nonmember utilities are allowed to attend up to two conferences as guests without joining SNUG. In addition to the valuable conference sessions, this event will include a trade show that will allow manufacturers, vendors, consultants and engineering organizations to market their products and services in an exhibit area.
The preliminary agenda for the conference may be viewed by clicking the “CONFERENCE AGENDA” link above. The agenda includes a number of items that should be of special interest to those who are relatively new to snubber responsibilities, as well as for those who are more experienced. Some segments of the conference will be dedicated to an overview of issues and concerns that have been previously addressed, but that newer members may not be familiar with. Opportunities will be provided for attendees to select topics that they wish to see revisited in more detail, and those topics will be presented later in the conference agenda. For this reason the agenda is subject to change depending upon the needs and desires of those in attendance.
